Dear Folks,

This thread can be put to sleep: the SEGV of 2.0b1 with embedded Perl
was nothing to do with Nagios

(or threaded Perls or FreeBSD: Nagios was torpedoed by a SEGV from
Perl trying to run a C function that was linked with a different version
of Perl, a known problem with Perl extensions [they simply must be
rebuilt to run against a different version of Perl]).

It's too early for me to say how 2.0b1 goes with embedded Perl in a
small site (196 hosts/405 services), but it seems Ok so far (in
foreground mode with test 1 -eq 1 as the notify command).

Yours sincerely.
