thank you so much! the freshness-checking was enabled by the underlying
template... hmpf...
now the checks are executed no more when aktive checks are disabled.

I believe checks that are forced because of freshness-checking are =
exempt
from the 'disable service checks' action. Do any of your checks have
'check_freshness 1' defined?
