we have a distributed monitoring environment with six distributed
monitoring servers. In the past they were concentrated at one
location. Actually we are installing a distributed monitoring system
in a remote data center.
On the one hand this data center should be as autarkic as possible. On
the other hand we want to consolidate the check results at the central
monitoring system, too.
In our existing environment we solve this by using NSCA but regarding
the integration of a remote location we want to implement a batch
process. Therefor we have to pass also the original timestamp into the
external command pipe. NSCA does not support this at the moment.
How can we solve this problem? Any ideas? What about a patch to NSCA
to accept also timestamps in its input data stream?
