NRPE and PAE kernel?

Post by dsdonut »

I'm new to Nagios XI.

I'm trying to install NRPE on my RHEL 5 servers, but I'm not having any success because I'm running the PAE kernel.

When trying to run the NRPE install script, it just quits telling me that the PAE kernel is not supported. Is there any way around that?

These servers run an application that is not written for a 64 bit OS, yet they have 12GB RAM, hence the need for the PAE kernel.

Ha, that's probably my doing. What's your output from 'uname -r'?

There's a fresh agent tarball up now that should fix your problem.
