They did their best. People wrote to [email protected] since
this appears to be a FreeBSD 5.x/threads issue.
Unfortunately the answers were along the lines of 'show us more evidence
such as what is happening with ktrace or gdb' (apparently, truss can't
be used on 5.x for thread problems).
Unless you get some better answers from the Nag developers or FreeBSD,
all I can offer is
1 use Linux or another platform with better thread support (Solaris
prob)
2 use FreeBSD 4.x (I am happily using RELENG-4 with 2.0b3 on about 400
active services/200 hosts)
If you decide to push on with 5.x you will probably make a big
contribution to Nag and 5.x, but you will spend a lot of time doing so
(collecting evidence, trying patches etc).
