Hello,
I've found this sequence of what nagios does with event handler and status
file:
- host/service check finds state change, and calls event handler command
- event handler command does its processing, and either finishes or is
killed if runs longer than the nagios event handler timeout
- status.log is updated

Is there any way to get the status file updated before the event handler is
called?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
