Performance Graphs Missing vs. SSL

Post by achudson »

Our brand new Nagios XI installation via the VMware image, exhibits the common problem of the Performance Graphs not appearing through the web interface. In other words, the graphics simply missing and represented by a broken image icon in the browser.

The technical support Wiki document review, multiple support thread research, security credential resets, permission checks, etc. were all performed. Nothing solved the issue.

After all that extensive research and troubleshooting, we discovered that simply removing the "S" in HTTPS in the browser address made the graphs start appearing again.

Is there a known issue with accessing the performance graphs when utilizing Nagios XI website via SSL? Perhaps the backend proxy of web content between XI and Core has a quirk?

For background, the "Program URL" field in the Configuration -> Administration area is set with a https prefix (example: https://nagios.company.com/nagiosxi)

This is a known issue that we are currently working on and our goal would be the next release and will most likely be a config option.
