Hi,
Been going over this for days now, and can't see where the problem stems from. For some reason even though Nagios is saying it's only sending 1 alert to my user account for any issues, I end up with 3 emails for the same alert spaced approximately 1-2 minutes apart.
All email alerts are done through the host configuration, and are setup to email a group, and I am a member of that group. Nothing else that I can see is setup for sending emails. Other people are also a member of that group and they only get the 1 email.
Could anyone help shed some light on this please?
Thanks,
Jodey
Multiple emails from single alert
Re: Multiple emails from single alert
My suggestion would be to start with the maillog. Do a running tail on the maillog, send a test email to your contact, kill the tail with ctrl-c, and then post the tail output:
Code: Select all
tail -f /var/log/maillogFormer Nagios employee
