I have an Auto-Discovery job configured as follows:
Scan Address: 172.31.16.0/24
Excludes: 172.31.16.1,172.31.16.2,172.31.16.
However, after running the job, the report marks the excluded IP's as "New" in the job report. Is this expected behavior?
Address Host Name Type OS Status
172.31.16.2 172.31.16.2 Unknown New
172.31.16.3 172.31.16.3 Unknown New
172.31.16.1 172.31.16.1 Unknown New
I was ultimately hoping that by excluding the IP's, they wouldn't be counted in the number of "New" hosts to make it clearer to see how many hosts we are missed in any given subnet.

What is the Nagios XI version that you are currently using?

Re: Auto-Discovery not excluding IP's in exclusion list
Update: I tested the Auto-Discovery with excluding hosts in 2012R2.7 and I was able to recreate the issue. I believe this is a bug. I will be filing an internal bug report ASAP.

Thanks Ludmil.
For what it's worth, I'm running XI version 2012R1.5 with Auto-Discovery version 2.02

Thanks! I just wanted to find out if this is a new bug that we introduced to R2.7 or it's been around for a while.
