Help resolving conflict

Post by mbowden »

I am attempting to install the Nagios client on a RHEL 5 box and seem to be running into a conflict and was hoping you could offer some guidance.

Transaction Check Error:
file /usr/bin/libmcrypt-config from install of libmcrypt-devel-2.5.7-5.el5.i386 conflicts with file from package libmcrypt-devel-2.5.7-5.el5.x86_64

Thank You

There is a good chance that running "yum update" will resolve this. Was this a minimal install of centos 5?

Did the update work? If not, you may be able to just remove the package as the XI installer will reinstall it through yum.
