Check_mk and NagiosXi Integration

Post by griffithusg »

Just discovered this.

http://mathias-kettner.de/check_mk.html
It looks really awesome. Is anyone able to give any details as to whether it intergrates with Xi? what about compatibility with DNX?
Let me know.

Both are "compatible" with XI, but not "integrated". Meaning, since XI uses Nagios Core "under the hood", you can add components like this, but XI won't do anything special with them. In the case of check_mk, this means that you can absolutely install it and define checks manually to use it in the Core Config Manager, but the wizards will all still create services using check_nrpe. In the case of DNX, all of the checks on the XI system are executed through Core, so they will properly make use of DNX once installed, but there is not XI wizard for configuring DNX or anything like that.

Hi,
Thats great. Currently already have DNX up and running quite well.
Once my project is finished I might try my hand at builiding a config wizard for DNX.
