I'm new to Nagios XI and I'm having some trouble with the email notification settings. I have Nagios Core deployed in my environment however the new GUI (which is fantastic by the way) is throwing me off. First, should I choose Sendmail or SMTP for my mail settings. I'm trying to send the email through Exchange however I keep receiving an error when attempting to send the test email.
Second, what should my specific smtp server settings look like? I'm using the IP address of our exchange server, I assume port 25, and then a username and password of one of our domain admin accounts.
Any help is very much appreciated. I'm looking into purchasing Nagios XI if it performs as well as Nagios Core does.

Nevermind. I finally figured it out. I had incorrect information in the username field of the smtp settings. For those interested, make sure to use [email protected]. That worked for me. Thanks.
