Can I define a service as a parent of a host

Post by BanditBBS »

I looked here : http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/ ... .html#host and it says the parents is comma list of hosts. But can I specify a service instead?

Example: I want to specify the service check of a particular link as the parent for a remote router. The reason, the router with the link may still be up, just the circuit could be down.

No, but you can do this by setting up dependencies in the CCM
