Integration logic

Post by wiproltdwiv »

Currently we have eight different templates to monitor the network components in our project.

But, due to practical scenarios we cannot fix the time period . so, we need different time period for each network components. Since we are using finacle applications in our project. We would like to use the time period according to the finacle table status. For EX: if finacle table gives status ISOLOP the monitoring should start. If status is CSOLOP the monitoring should stop.

Which will give us exact availability report and notifications for the hosts.

So, we need your comment to get the feasibility from nagios to get the time period logic which I mentioned above

Nagios could probably check the time period logic (though this would most likely take a custom script) as long as that information is exposed. The other piece to this puzzle is the availability reports in nagios.

Are the desired time periods completely dynamic, changing every day? If so, this may be a problem, as most availability reports will only report over a given (static and defined) time period.
