Monitor Firewall Bandwidth

Post by DiegoAnjos »

Hi

Currently I can monitor my firewalls ports status, CPU and Ram usage and some other things that I can get through SNMP.

Is it possible to monitor a firewall bandwidth only with Nagios, through SNMP? (I really do not want to install Cacti or MRTG :( )

It depends if your firewall has OIDS to do so with "via passive SNMP traps," or to run active SNMP get requests against. Do you know if it can be checked for this? Your manual should tell you.
