Upgadeing to 1.1H did not fix Email Notification in 1.1G '4u

maybe my upgrade didnt work.. as the version number online stayed at 1.1g. I have just downloaded the package again and run the upgrade for a second time and now it reads 1.1h correctly.

However - notifications are not working again.
so to recap.

1.1f working
1.1g notifications broken
1.1h - didnt change version info and notification still not working
applied patch as per code - notifications now work
upgrade to 1.1h again - the version has changed but the notificationa are not working again

I am happy to stay here for a while if you wish to have any of my logs etc.. let me know.

Earlier reports about this being the case from us may have been presumptuous. We are still looking into this.

I'm still looking for other reports.

more testing from me..

ok upgrading to 1.1h has enabled email alert notification. The thing that doesnt work is the send custmo notification... not sure what different elements these require but if i apply the code fix then the custom notifications will start working for me.

I am on 1.1H and the test notification works, but monitors are not sending off notifications when they should be, nor do the custom notifications work. The patch from the other thread returns errors when I tried to apply it.

Because I downloaded the VM just a couple days ago it came with 1.1H and I cannot roll back to any previous version.

We can get you a link to a 1.1e VM that can be upgraded using another link to 1.1f. Ask [email protected].

As for Notifications it's something we've tested and re-tested. One note is that the nagiosadmin contact may need it's template adjusted to be the xi_* for the settings in NagiosXI to take effect. If you are using the other template then you will need to update the contact to contain the correct email address.

The patch will not apply and thus does not apply to 1.1g.

Actually, adding the nagios xi template to the nagios admin account seems to have done the trick.
