Nagios XI AD integration

We would like to utlize Nagios XI AD integration feature and this is what I found in Nagios knowledgebase:

"You will need to set up a local account with any password - but it does then use your AD credentials."

Does this mean I need at least one local account, or I need a local account for each of the AD users? If it is the latter then never mind. If it is the first one then I'll give it a shot. Thank you.

I do believe it is one per if you want to have multiple different logins. Can you link to the article you followed? Was it this?
