what are the steps required to migrate nagios XI to engine nagios core 4.0.4?

is possible to do, or we have to migrate to a higher nagios XI version?

This is not something you should attempt on your own, it can and will break your XI installation. Nagios Core 4 will be packaged with the XI 2014 release which is due out shortly. I'd highly recommend updating to the latest version of XI in any case, since you were asking about upgrading to core 4 why not hop up to the latest XI release?

because we wanted to implement the version 4.0.4.
But we will do what you says, and will migrate to the latest version of XI ...

and wait for it to come out the release Xi 2014...
