Hi ,
I am trying to get the Alert Stream plugin to work with my XI r1.5 install but it doesnt. While uploading the component it comes back with component failed message. I think looking at the code their are couple of jar files inside and would indicate to me it would require java on the centos platform? Is it the case or something else is wrong?
Cheers
Arnab
Alert Stream Component not installing
Re: Alert Stream Component not installing
The problem should be fixed now. Delete the old "alertstream.zip" file. Download the new file from Nagios Exchange and try installing the Alert Stream Component again. It should work now.

Re: Alert Stream Component not installing
it got installed but not looking very promising at all it just sits their saying Loading ..finally when it did load up it doesnt do anything after clicking on the host names....
Re: Alert Stream Component not installing
After you click on the "Alert Stream" from the left panel menu, you select the "Period" from the drop-down menu, then select your hostgroup from "Limit To" dropdown menu, and click "Go". It does take some time, but eventually it will show you the graph. I just did it for my linux-servers and it worked just fine. Please, let me know if you continue to have issues.

Re: Alert Stream Component not installing
What I meant was it says in the plugin "Clicking on a host name will cause the graph to drill down to show service alerts for that particular host " this bit doesnt work I cant seem to be able click on anything ?
Re: Alert Stream Component not installing
Also it doesnt care about what permissions a user has shows everything up!! I would XI 's multitenancy is far from perfect developers doesnt seem to care about user permissions in any of the components
Re: Alert Stream Component not installing
Clicking on a host name was *supposed to* show service alerts for that particular host. I am not sure what sent wrong but we will be looking into this issue, along with the "permissions" problem.
