Network Switch monitoring using SNMP V3

Hello,

We are currently using Nagios XI 2012R2.3

We installed new network switches in our network and we want to use SNMP V3. I know that the monitoring wizard does not have V3 listed as an option. Is there a newer version of Nagios XI that has it as an option in network switch monitoring or is that something on the to do list?

I would recommend spinning up a test VM or server, and installing the Nagios XI 2014 beta to it, the beta has our new switch & router wizard which includes support for SNMP v3.
