Nagios over internet

I want to access Nagios over internet.
Assigned static NAT Public IP address to Nagios server. But still I am not able to access Nagios over internet.
Do I need to host this Nagios Application over the internet as well.

You should only need to enable port forwarding at your firewall to the nagios system. However you should not give the nagios system itself an external public IP, there should always be a firewall device between nagios and the internet. You might also have iptables changes or httpd config changes that need to be made depending on what you might have already altered on the nagios system.
