Multiple chart issues

Post by BanditBBS »

Issue #1:
I have a chart of localhost:CPU Load on my dashboard. When I try and click through on that to the service I get this:
Capture1.JPG
This happened on a fresh installl before I did the https force.

Issue #2:
I followed the https document and now can no longer save charts. In Chrome I never get any prompt. In IE I gt a prompt about "only secure data is being shown" and I selected "show all"
Now when I try and save I get this prompt, and I am 100% this is the issue:
Capture.JPG
http://export.highcharts.com
First off, why is it saying that and secondly, is it really going out to the internet to export every chart?

I actually have a bug in for the highcharts issue already, not 100% sure if it's the same, but it would make sense that browsers are blocking the cross-domain call. As for the cpu one, I will do some testing and see what happens.

Cool. Escalate that exporting issue, that's a pretty big issue since all my customers are coming in external and must use https :)

As for the other one, just use graph explorer and add any graph to yuor home dashboard, then try and click through to it. I am not a contact on the service, just an admin in the system. This isn't a big deal and is easy enough to search for the service.

Maybe I am missing something, but I am not seeing the same issue. I did:

Add a test contact to Localhost:Ping and remove all other contacts\groups from service and templates.
Remove all contacts from localhost host objects and templates. (it's localhost, there's not much)
Browse to service details -> Localhost:ping -> Perfdata tab -> add to dashboard.
Made sure I could view and click around on the graph.
Applied configuration, so that I was no longer a contact, but still running as nagiosadmin.
Viewing both the service detail perfdata page and dashboard with the added graph, I have no issues clicking around and getting to the full host's services perf graphs by clicking on the name, resizing the graph, etc.

Again maybe I'm missing something, but it seems to be working for me.. I just realized, I'm somewhere between R1.2 and R1.3(internal revision), which version are you presently using?

Dude, I don't know what is happening to me! 100 hour work weeks must be getting to me! LOL

I am NOT a contact on the host or services but am an admin in the system. I added a graph the same way you did and it works fine. I then added on through graph explorer scalable performance graph tab and it works fine(which is how I did it before). My original graph still is giving me the issue, but I'm able to recreate and it works fine, so lets waste no more brain power on this. Just fix the other issue

Hey Spenser(or whoever reads this),

Has anything been found to work around this issue? I don't really want to tell my users they have to use IE. Is there code somewhere that I can change to tell it to go to https for highcharts?

If you haven't seen this, the CPU Usage issue (with highcharts) has been resolved. Please, read this post:

That's cool...installed.

Still can't save a graph when using HTTPS though.

Hey now, there's a bug report for that one and you know it :) Glad that fixed it for non-https though!
