Incorporating NA with nagiosXI

Post by Phil.Pearce »

Hi,

Im trying to get mt trials of nagios network analyser and nagiosxi to talk to each other.

I got the sflows getting into the analyser. Ive added the server with the token.

but I cant see any data on the nagiosXI box its always

Image

Is there any examples I could follow, Ive looked at the PDF.

Also how do you get the IP addresses to resolve within the network analyser?

Thanks

You need to make sure the component is set up in XI properly:

^- For reports but it will be the same process.

If there is netflow traffic including addresses of servers you have in XI as hosts, you should see them show up in those tabs.

What is the Nagios XI version that you are currently running? What is the version of the "Nagios Network Analyzer Component" that you see under Admin->Manage Components?

Did you follow this document?

http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... ios_XI.pdf

Can you tell us what you've tried so far (that didn't work)?

Regarding the DNS name resolution, there is an internal feature request filed already. I am not sure when/if our developers will get to it.

Hi,

Ive created the alerting methods (down to step 3), but the image in the other link

has an api key which would be a different format to that of what the document says.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "different format" for the API key. You should just need to grab the API key from the NNA web interface by clicking your username (assuming you have enabled API access for that user). Our documents might have slightly different screenshots than what you are seeing.
