NagiosXI mailnotification issue

Dear Team,

We have installed CentOS 6-5 configured latest nagiosxi from web
http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... ctions.pdf

Now we are facing issue with mail notification, As we have selected sendmail from notification mail configuration. we are getting following error message in /var/log/maillog

As we have configured SMTP also, we have properly mentioned ip,username,password but not able to get mail notification on "[email protected]"
please help on this thanks in advanced ...

As we have configured smtp server with mail server (192.168.1.200) with port 25.
Also we need to configure proxy in this VM CentOS Machine where we installed NagiosXI.

We are not able to send mail from command prompt also..... .please suggest.

It definitely looks like that IP is down.

What is the IP address of the SMTP server you are trying to use? Is that the 192.168.1.200 or is that a proxy? I think you've just got the wrong IP in use for your SMTP server.

Go to Admin -> Manage Email Settings and tell me what you have in the "Host:" field.

As i have mentioned 192.168.1.200 thats my mistake, SMTP Server IP is 152.63.1.200

NagiosXI IP : 152.63.2.155


Admin --> Manage Email Setting -->

Host: 152.63.1.200 (SMTP Server)
Port : 25

So the next step is to try and ping that server and nmap it:

It's looking pretty down from my end. Are you certain that is the right IP and that the server is running? Are there firewall rules in place preventing contact to it?
