Simple question,
if I want to change the IP address on my XI server, can I just go through the activation process again and give the new IP, or will it give me a license already activated message?
just wondering because I want to use the IP from our backup Nagios Core machine.
Thanks

You can actually change this without any need to reactivate. If it has changed with 2014, which is possible, reactivating online as though it were a new install will be just fine.
Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.

Well, when I activated it, it required the IP address and it looks like the activation key is tied to the I.P. address. Those to bits of information are in bold in the activation email they sent back to me. So it seems like it's only going to work with that I.P. unless I go back in and change it. Maybe that's how they track if you need to get the other license for multiple Nagios servers, as opposed to just unlimited nodes (which is what we have.)
Okay, I'll just try to reactivate it and see what happens

Hey Env,
I just spoke to sales, could you email them at [email protected]? You may need to re-register your license key, if you still have the original activation key you can use that on the new system.
