When we try to delete a contact we are receiving the following error:

Database Relationships for contact : user.name
Items labeled as: 'Dependent relationships' will prohibit deletion
Object ID: 3 of table tbl_contact:
Relation to Commands, entry: check_none
Relation to Commands, entry: check_none

This is only a contact and does not have a user account created. Any help would be much appreciated.

I presume you are running 2014r1.4. This is a bug. It has been fixed in the next version. You can still delete objects in the CCM by checking the box and then using the "With Checked" dropdown to delete them.
