NRDP problem with multiple passive check results

Post by mon-team »

Hi,
we use NRDP to integrate a third party monitoring tool with Nagios. This tool (on a windows machine), in a particular case, sends a lot of passive check results at the same time, but some of them (on average 25 out of 65), are not sent to Nagios.
We tried different send_nrdp client (.php, .ps) with no success.

When we used NSCA instead of NRDP, everithing worked correctly.

Can anyone help us?

Let's get some of the basics out of the way:
  • What version of Nagios XI are you using?
  • What version of Windows is the remote client?
  • What remote tool are you sending from?
  • Is there any pattern between the dropped results? Are they the same ~25 each time or is it random?

How are you determining that they are not being sent or being received by Nagios?

I took some captures on both sides and I saw the check results are not even sent by the client.

Can you give us some steps to reproduce your problem from the client side.

Show us how you are capturing on the client side.

The more detail you provide the better insight we have into your system.
