Hard and Soft issue

Look at the Unknown at 1:28 and 22:27. They are both 2 of 3 but both say HARD. Shouldn't they be SOFT? Then it doesnt check again in one minute as it should. Or it may have, but didn't log a state change.

Yeah thanks for that.

It's in a hard state and it reports "Current Check: 1 of 3", similar to your screenshot.

Do you feel like deleting retention.dat, restarting nagios and see if that helps? Or at least removing one of these objects from retention.dat.

These were all just added to nagios the day this happened, so not sure what deleting them from retention will accomplish in this case.

I mean, I'll do it, but don't see it doing anything different since they were just added.
