NCPA - Nagios Cross Platform Agent

Post by EnvBroker1 »

There is a Linux box on our network that, when I added it to Nagios XI, everything worked fine.
Then one of the admins for the box decided he wanted to try out the NCPA and loaded it.
Which immediately broke it and started giving (Return code of 255 is out of bounds) errors.
It is a CentOS 6.X and we're on Nagios XI 2014R1.3
I don't have permissions to that box, so all I can do is make suggestions.

Is there any known issues or bugs with the NCPA?

Thanks
Eric

How did you monitor this box - via NRPE, SNMP, NRDS, check_by_ssh, etc.?

Can you elaborate on that? Show us the actual check that you are running from the CLI, along with the output of it. Can you also post the "ncpa_listener.log"? What is the version of NCPA that you installed on the Linux box?
