Tactical View/Network Outages

Hello,

I have Nagios XI 2012R2.9. I use the GUI interface to manage a network device infrastructure. I have hosts (network devices) configured with a parent (ex: a router). When a parent device shows as DOWN, child devices appear as UNREACHABLE, so I believe this is the proper behavior for a "blocking outage", but I do not see any outages appear on the Network Outage applet under the "Tactical View" screen.

I have been trying to find the logic behind what is required for the "network outage" applet, but no luck. Can anyone assist?

I believe this was a bug that was fixed in 2014R1.1:

I would recommend upgrading to the latest XI version.
