Hourly downtime

Post by WillemDH »

Hello,

I have some CPU Load services that exceed load thresholds one time each hour due to some cron jobs. These services popup each our in open service problems and I would like to not see them when they occur between X0:55 and X1:05. Is there a way to schedule an hourly downtime of 10 minutes?

Grtz

I think you need to:
  • Create a Service Group with all the affected services
Create 24 separate Recurring Downtime schedules for this service group
Although 24 separate Recurring Downtime schedules seems like an administrative nightmare. It might be a worthwhile feature request to be able to specify the start time to be every x hours.

Another alternative is to create a cron job on the XI server that creates the downtime for this service group every hour. This way you have just one script/command instead of 24 separate schedules.
