On top of this a new histogram issue: If selecting to limit to a hostgroup is only graphs the alerts for the hosts in the hostgroup and none of the services. Is this expected behavior? If so, sort of suck, I am going to have to create a bunch more service groups and its going to become an administration nightmare.

Can you clarify this a little, which one is close?:
1) When you select a hostgroup display all alerts from the hostgroup and all alerts from any service that has been assigned that hostgroup (service > add hostgroup)?
2) When you select a hostgroup display all alerts from the hostgroup and all alerts from any service inside that hostgroup?
I can see when i test it on my box the hostgroup alone displays 6 alerts at time X. Then when I select a servicegroup that has services inside that same hostgroup it show 16 alerts at time X. So are you asking for time X to display the combination of the two so at time X there would be 22 alerts??
Wow, I know what you typed make sense, but it also made my head explode a little, lol.
1.) When I select a hostgroup and click update I am then shown a histogram for just the hosts in that hostgroup and no services
2.) intuitively(at least for me and my customer) I would have thought it would show everything under that hostgroup, including the services on the hosts.
With it doing #1 I will then have to create an administrative nightmare and create a bunch of servicegroups for all my customers so they can run the report "per hostgroup"
If this is desired functionality, then perhaps I need to put in a feature request to add a checkbox next to the hostgroup dropdown that read "show services too"?

Yes!*
*You make the tracker request, and I will make the internal request.
