Offloaded DB and NDO - Now a few questions!

Post by BanditBBS »

Ok, so I seem to have successfully offloaded my DB and NDO2DB and so far so good. Only a few days will really tell...(please god, vacation starts Friday)

Anyway, I have a few questions that are all mostly simple yes/no.

1.) I should modify the original server and stop ndo2db and mysql from ever starting, correct?
2.) Is there anything else that would ever try and start ndo2db on the original server?(apply config, etc..)
3.) Any work-around for the red exclamation yet?
4.) When upgrading to 2014r2.1 whenever it is released, is that going to try and upgrade ndo2db and/or start it?
5.) If there is an update for ndo2db released with XI ever, do I just copy that over to the new server and run the install and install it over the pre-existing?
6.) reserved for future question

Yes. Kill them with fire. Actually, service. Kill only out of necessity . . .

Init/Boot? Otherwise, nope. (there will be a db backend button in XI that can as well . . . )
BanditBBS wrote:3.) Any work-around for the red exclamation yet?
Nope. It is in a protected file. I will check the bug report/feature request on that.

Yes.

Essentially. There may also be updated schema (in an .sql file) included as well.
