Nagios xi use check_logfies to monitor windows system log

Post by michaelli »

Hi support,

I would like to use check_logfiles to monitor windows 7, windows server 2003, 2008 and 2012 system log.
I reference the article as below link. But it is not too much mention how to monitor the windows system log by configuration file.
https://labs.consol.de/nagios/check_logfiles/

Although it has some example .cfg file in client. but it is not work which I follow the configuration file.

In my situation, I would like to monitor "System", "Application" and "Audit" log. Send alter mesages to nagiosxi when any "warning, error and critical" event occurs. And some alter messages pattern can be ignored. Anyone who has .cfg example for I to reference. Thanks a lot.
