host service details missing from nagios XI (exists in core)

I'm running Nagios XI 2014R2.0 and when I click on "Service Details", I see everything. When I click on a hostname, the UI tells me that no services are assigned to that host. The services show up in the previous screen as well as in the nagios core interface.

I tried restarting ndo2db and the host itself. I also tried deleting retention.dat. The data repopulated, but the problem symptoms were the same. I have two other servers which are very similiar in content and the same in version where this problem does not happen.

Have you seen this before?

Is the host assigned to a service? If you have multiple hosts assigned to a service through a hostgroup, but the host you are looking at is not associated with the hostgroup, you will get that message.
