Notifications are not reaching to the configured mailbox

Hi All,

I am not receiving the alert notification from my Nagios XI server.

When i tried to send a test notification mail from the console, i got the below error message.

"Mailer said: Could not instantiate mail function. (method=sendmail)
An error occurred sending a test email!"

Can someone help me on this.

It may be easiest to configure your machine to use SMTP and an external mail relay as opposed to configuring sendmail on your local server. There are a few steps involved. I recommend reviewing this document:
