Nagios Log Server upgrade check

Post by krobertson71 »

I upgraded to 2015r1.3. Applied Configuration.. all good. Problem with event hosts dropping out fixed.. so far.

However, the upgrade notification check still says this:
Selection_181.png
But the version number for the app is correct everywhere else.

Even rebooted the server.. no change.

Any Ideas?

The server only runs the "Update Check" daily, and the update check currently cannot be forced. I recommend waiting one day and checking back in with your results. Thank you!

Ok cool.

We ran it yesterday but it was in the afternoon. Do you know when it does this check?

My apologies - version 1.3 actually adds the ability to perform this check manually. Please navigate to "Administration -> Command Subsystem" and run the "run_update_check" command. This should check for updates immediately. :)

Not seeing that check in Administration - Command Subsystem .. Just System Jobs with ID's and other stats.

I kept hitting edit till I found the right job and it will run, in my time zone, in about 15 minutes.

But I still do not have the ability to execute it from the page itself.

If the jobs under command subsystem all look like strings, please press the 'Reset jobs' button. This will correct them and present them in a human readable format. Thanks!

Ok thanks for all the help!

The job ran at 2:15 and now shows that I am up to date.

Resetting the jobs did the trick!

Thanks!
