Nagios3 Update

Post by renanpro03 »

Hello guys, I'm running Nagios 3 on Debian "Squeeze", I did the installation via apt-get, as mentioned here http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtop ... f=7&t=2502
The version installed is the same as those shown in the picture, Version 3.2.1 - March 09, 2010
The question is, how do I upgrade to the current version "3.3.1"?
Setup does not match the paths when installed manually, as in http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/ ... buntu.html

Someone could help me?
What to do?

Thank you all

Same exact issue. Been wasting several hours following outdated/incorrect instructions on getting this package working. Very frustrated at the fragmentation of information.

Any clarifications on upgrading from the apt-get package would be greatly appreciated.

In this case the binary packages may not have been updated. If that's the case, and you want to be on the leading-edge, then you'll need to build from the sources. This is not as scary as it sounds, and the process is well documented.
