Viewing my Deadpool

Post by JakeHatMacys »

I went ahead and configured the Deadpool but I'm missing how to go in and actually see what's in it. Is there an easy way to do this from the GUI or do I need to query the DB?

You can go to Home->Hostgroup/Servicegroup Summary and view the hosts/services placed in the host or service deadpool.

Thanks, now after reviewing it I see a few hosts are back up and they're still in the dead pool. How does that work? When will they leave the dead pool when in a good state? Does it still have to wait until the hard delete date to leave the dead pool in a good state? Aka get back into the normal rotation?

I don't think there is any logic to remove items from the deadpool if they recover, at least not yet. I will discuss this with the developers, and will try to "speed things up" as I posted an internal bug report about this some time ago (TASK ID 1347), which hasn't been acted upon.

For the time being, you can manually remove the host/service from the deadpool in the CCM->Manage Hostgroups/Manage Servicegroups, and remove the host-deadpool or service-deadpool.
