Nagios XI 2014 escalation issues

My Co-worker went to a local tech meetup last night where it was stated that Nagios XI escalation was broken and would email everyone in the escalation tree one right after the other, with no delays at all, and that they never were able to get it working correctly?

Is there any truth to this or is it a known issue? We were planning on implementing this and this information has now brought it into question.

We are running NagiosXI 2014 r2.6

I don't know of any current issues or bug reports associated with escalations. In my opinion, if they don't work correctly, most probably they are not configured correctly. Have you tried using escalations in your environment? Are you having any specific issues at the moment?

We haven't tested it yet. This being brought up spun off an extra action item and I just wanted to get feedback from Nagios as to the validity of this claim.
