Dear Sir/Madam,
I have an issue with notification. Actually there is one oracle parameter "DataFile IO Traffic" which we have configured into NagiosXI now we don't want alerts for this parameter. For this I have disabled notification by going service managment under alerts setting tab make notification enabled "off" in spite of this I am geeting alerts.
For confirming this i checked the value in the given path /usr/locak/nagios/etc/service and check one of the host service value where I can see notification enabled value is "0" that means it changed from frontend. As this issue has became escalated now so please help me out asap.
Please find the attachment for your reference.

Please look in your /usr/local/nagios/var/objects.cache file for the service definition and post the configuration here.

In XI, find the Service and click on it
There are four icons at the top
The second icon is "View Service Notifications"
The third icon is "View Service History"
For both of these icons:
Click the icon
Change the Period to This Week
Click Update
Take a screenshot
Please show us both screenshots.

If looks like the settings are correct for the host named "idukkic" but the screen captures are from a host named "prtgarh".
Which host are you still receiving notifications from?

Re: Alerts generating for "DataFile IO Traffic"
There are 104 hosts in Nagios . We have configured Datafile Io Traffic parameter for all 104 hosts and also getting alerts for all 104 parameters. Please give us the permanent solution to stop getting these alerts.
Re: Alerts generating for "DataFile IO Traffic"
If you have the Enterprise version of Nagios XI, you could use the Bulk Modifications tool to change the notifications for all of those service checks.
