Windows WMI Monitoring

Good afternoon everyone.
I'm just beginning use the Nagios XI software and am trying to monitor some Windows servers using WMI.
However, when I go to add a computer, the WMI screen asks for credentials which includes the following warning:
"The password used to authenticate to the Windows machine. Note: The password must be eight (8) characters or less and not contains special (non-alphanumeric) characters."
Am I correctly reading that to use WMI I have to have a weak password? If so, are the only other options to either a) use the Agent or b) wait until a 'fix' for weak password limitation is released?
Thank you
Sam
