Nagios XI Last check time not updating

Hello All,

I am new to NagiosXI and am having a weird issue. The service/host checks aren't running. The Last Check is stuck at pending (I deleted the retention.dat file to see if that helps) In error logs I see the following messages. Nagios Core is not updating either. Any suggestions on how this can be fixed?

Is this on the default set of checks included with XI or have you added custom hosts/services. Either way can we see the definitions?

This behavior can happen on hosts if there is no check_command defined for the host, however validation will fail if you try this for a service.
