Want to integrate VMware vSphere all host with Nagios

Post by lsazzad »

We have few VMware VSphere ESXi servers in few sites. In each ESXi node there are average 30 host machinese are included. Is it possible to integrate the whole ESXi at a time without integrating one by one.

For your kind information, there are four ESXi servers like as follows:

Or is it possible to integrate those ESXi servers one by one?

Expecting possible suggestions!

Are they managed by vCenter Server? Based upon your screenshot it looks like yes.

The check_esx3.pl plugin handles all Datacenters, Hosts, and VMs using vCenter Server as a monitoring point:

Have a look at box293_check_vmware.

box293_check_vmware can be downloaded here:

There is also a wizard for it:
http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Ad ... rd/details

The wizard will allow you to monitor all the hosts in a few simple steps and several mouse clicks.
