Hi ,

i have installed nagiosxi-4-2.7.el6.x86_64.tar.gz version offline. i am not geeting loging GUI page.

When you run the offline installer there is an installation log created in the /tmp directory. I don't recall the name of it off-hand, but it's obvious when you see it, something like 'nagios.log'

Take a look at that. If you'd like us to review it, post it here inside code wraps.

Sorry - I had to go through the fullinstall process to find it myself.

The file is /tmp/xi-install.log

Do you have that file?

which you mentions log file names are not find in my /tmp/ folder.

Please help me out.

The problem right now is that we have nothing to go on. The output you displayed above is not from the original run of fullinstall, it's from a subsequent run.

My suspicion is that your rpm did indeed fail to install properly. What is the contents of the directory /usr/local/nagiosxi? I suspect it's empty or non-existent.

All that said, it's really hard to troubleshoot without that log. The fact that the log is missing is definitely suspect. I have no idea why that log wouldn't be created on your system, it works fine on mine. What type of system are we talking about? RHEL? CentOS? Did you do a minimal install or did you add in any other packages or repos? Did you load from a custom repo? Do you have any other weird system customizations. Did you be sure to run everything as root?

Without anything to go on but a rehash of the fullinstall the only suggestion we can offer is to start from scratch. It may be easier to do that anyway.
