Hi Everyone,
Is it possible to specify defaults on the MAP so that a server is set as start point and the size of the map are at our settings for startup on the website?

What specific version of Core 4 are you running? I believe there are some changes in 4.1 that will allow, at the least, manually switching to have a certain host at the center. I do not know if this is planned to be configurable.

In Nagios Core 4.1.0rc1, you can customize the map screen.
Click on the Maps link and then click the top right corner where the 3 bars are.

This screen will allow you to customize the map screen. Then set the Root Node to the system you want as the starting point.
Is this what you are looking for?

That could possibly be added to Core, but I'll be honest with you, that part of the interface is written in AngularJS and it's a complicated beast of a framework. I have an idea of what would need to be changed, but not a clue what possible other bugs that could introduce.
Your best bet getting this into the project would be to open an issue for it in GitHub:
https://github.com/NagiosEnterprises/nagioscore
Open an issue with a title like "[Enhancement] Allow setting map defaults" and link to this thread, explaining the request briefly as well. This will get it on the devs' radars and they can start looking into ways to implement it.

Thank you for this, I’ll investigate that. Can you close this please.
