Looking for more detailed explanation of Availability Report

Post by ajanm »

Hi!

On the "Availability Report" I've selected a specific host and a Report Period of "Last 24 hours".

When Nagios returns results, at the bottom in the section "Host Log Entries", Nagios shows the logs for the last 3 days. If I select a report period of last 7 days, nagios lists the last 9 or so in the "Host Log Entires."

Is there a reason for this? Are the availability report numbers up at the top accurate or potentially inaccurate?

Thanks!

The "Host Log Entries" will just show you the host's state from the last 24 hours if you had Backtracked archives = 0. Try changing the "Backtracked archives" value and click on "Update" to see if the "Host Log Entries" will change.
