missing alert history on nagios XI interface

On Nagios XI 2014 R2.0, I can disable active checks and flapping and successfully force a passive failure and see the alert and notification show up in the Nagios Core interface. However it does not show up in the Nagios XI interface. Please help me in understanding how this might occur and how to fix it. Thanks!

Is there a specific place you're looking (such as state history report, alerts report, on the service itself, etc) that it doesn't show up on XI, have you checked those other places to see if it's showing in any of them?
