auto ping script in Cisco router and read the result

Dear Forum

We want to ping from Cisco as a auto via some script , to store the result and to read via some mechanism (may be SNMP), how to do this?

Its wide topic (due to this, me have raised two threads separately as two different brand involve) and appreciate your advice.
