How to graph the data collected by check_bind.sh?

Post by linuser »

I need to be able to take the data collected by the check_bind.sh plugin and graph it so that it can be viewed from the nagios server itself or perhaps by setting up a web front end on the DNS server. I noticed that there is a check_bind.php file that came with the plugin. I am assuming that is used for this purpose. How do most people go about accomplishing this and is there documentation on the process?

That is a pnp4nagios template:

https://docs.pnp4nagios.org/pnp-0.6/tpl

/usr/local/nagios/share/pnp/templates is the templates directory on our XI installs

Thanks but I'm going to need a little more help on this. Looking at the link you provided where is this "check_conmmand" that determines which template to use?

The link also gives an example of the "HTTP" service and goes on to talk about an XML file that is created automatically. I have no XML files that I can find that map to the check_bind function. Looking at one of the docs in the pnp4nagios folder it says pnp4nagios must be installed however it looks like it may have already been installed.

Could use a lot of help on this one:)
